The clients wanted two distinct garden areas to reflect their individual tastes while harmonising with the surroundings of their listed cottage. The design carefully balanced these contrasting preferences while remaining sympathetic to the historical setting. The garden was divided into two main sections: one side was dedicated to an energetic, vibrant entertaining area, with bold, colorful planting, while the other side featured a peaceful, relaxed seating area with soft, calming plant hues.
A striking sphere water feature was placed centrally, serving as a focal point visible from both areas, offering a visual connection between the spaces.
Additionally, an underutilised part of the garden was transformed into a secluded retreat, screened off with bamboo to create privacy. The highlight of this third area is a serene infinity pool, which enhances the tranquil atmosphere and completes the overall peaceful ambiance.
